Piso WiFi Not Working: Causes and Fixes

Updated November 2026

Most Piso WiFi problems come from the phone's settings, a stuck connection or the vendo's internet line. Customers can fix the first two in a minute; owners handle the rest.

Quick answer: Pause your time at 10.0.0.1 if you can. Turn off mobile data, Private DNS and VPN. Forget the WiFi, reconnect, and open http://10.0.0.1 in Chrome or Safari. If nobody at the vendo has internet, the problem is the machine or its ISP, so tell the owner.

First: is it you or the vendo?

Ask someone nearby if their Piso WiFi works. This one check saves a lot of time.

Piso WiFi no internet: customer fixes

  1. Pause your time. Open 10.0.0.1 and tap Pause Time so your minutes are safe. Help is on our pause time guide.
  2. Turn off mobile data. Your phone may try to use data instead of the vendo.
  3. Turn off Private DNS. On Android, set it to Off or Automatic under Connections or Network and Internet.
  4. Close VPN and ad-blocker apps. They can hide the portal.
  5. Forget and rejoin the network. Then open 10.0.0.1 and tap Resume.
  6. Restart your phone. This clears stuck connections.

Full reconnect steps are on how to reset Piso WiFi.

How to fix Piso WiFi "obtaining IP address"

Your phone asks the vendo for an address. "Obtaining IP address" means it never got one.

Customer side

  • Move closer to the vendo or access point. A weak signal often causes this.
  • Forget the network and rejoin.
  • Toggle Airplane mode on for 10 seconds, then off.
  • Restart your phone.
  • Try again in a few minutes. The vendo may be full at peak time.

Owner side

  • Increase the number of addresses the vendo can hand out. The setting is often called DHCP pool or address range.
  • Shorten the lease time so old devices free up addresses faster.
  • Make sure only the vendo board gives out addresses. A second router doing the same causes conflicts.
  • Restart the board during quiet hours.

Portal not loading at 10.0.0.1

Check the address first. People often type 10.0.0.0.1 by mistake. A real address has four numbers. See 10.0.0.0.1 vs 10.0.0.1.

  • Type http://10.0.0.1 in the address bar, not the Google search box.
  • Some vendos use 10.10.0.1. Read the sticker. See 10.10.0.1 Piso WiFi.
  • Try another browser, such as Chrome or Samsung Internet.
  • Turn off Lite mode or Data Saver in Chrome.

Piso WiFi coins not crediting

This is the most frustrating problem, because money is involved. Here is what usually happens and what to do.

Customers

  • Tap Insert Coin on the portal first. Drop coins only while the countdown shows.
  • Drop coins one at a time, not in a quick stack.
  • Use clean, flat coins. Bent or dirty coins get rejected.
  • If a coin was taken but not credited, tell the owner right away. Note the time and amount.

Owners

  • Clean the coin acceptor and coin path.
  • Recalibrate for the coins you accept. New and old peso coins differ.
  • Check the wire between the coin slot and the board for loose pins.
  • Lengthen the insert-coin timeout if customers keep missing it.
  • Offer GCash or Maya as a backup. See Piso WiFi GCash.

Never force coins or shake the machine. It can jam the acceptor and void any refund.

Slow speed and invalid vouchers

Speed is shared. When many people stream video at once, everyone slows down. Evenings and weekends are usually busiest.

Owners can set a fair per-user speed cap, add access points, or move to a faster plan. Customers can stand closer and close background downloads.

For vouchers, retype the code slowly. Watch for O vs 0 and I vs 1. A voucher from one vendo usually won't work on another. More on Piso WiFi vouchers.

Piso WiFi not working FAQs

Why does my Piso WiFi say no internet?

Before paying or while paused, that is normal. If you paid and still have none, the vendo's line may be down.

How do I fix Piso WiFi obtaining IP address?

Move closer, forget the network and rejoin. If it keeps happening, the owner may need to enlarge the address pool.

Why are my coins not crediting?

You may have missed the insert-coin countdown, or the coin slot needs cleaning. Report it to the owner.

Why won't 10.0.0.1 open?

Turn off mobile data, VPN and Private DNS. Type http://10.0.0.1 in the address bar.

Will I lose my time if the internet stops?

It may keep counting. Pause your time at 10.0.0.1 as soon as you notice.

Why is Piso WiFi so slow?

Many users share one line. Try off-peak hours or move closer to the access point.

Why is my voucher invalid?

It may be mistyped, already used, expired, or from another machine.

Can I get a refund for lost time?

Only the owner can decide. Tell them the time, amount and what happened.
