Piso WiFi Vendo: Guide for Users and New Owners
Updated November 2026
A Piso WiFi vendo is a coin-operated machine that sells timed WiFi. You drop a coin, get minutes of internet, and manage your time at 10.0.0.1.
Quick answer: Customers connect to the vendo's WiFi, open http://10.0.0.1, insert coins and tap Pause Time to save unused minutes. Owners need an internet plan, a vendo unit with a coin acceptor and hotspot board, portal software, and a busy spot with power.
What is a Piso WiFi vendo?
"Vendo" is the Filipino word for a vending machine. A Piso WiFi vendo sells internet time instead of soft drinks. You see them in sari-sari stores, boarding houses, terminals and barangay corners.
Each coin buys a block of minutes set by the owner. The machine tracks your phone, counts down your time and cuts the connection when it runs out.
Many vendos run 24/7. "Piso WiFi 24/7" simply means the machine stays on all day and night, so you can buy time even after the store closes.
Piso WiFi vs Piso Net
People mix these up. Both use coins, but they sell different things.
| Piso WiFi | Piso Net | |
|---|---|---|
| What you rent | Internet time on your own phone or laptop | Time on a shop computer |
| Device used | Yours | The shop's desktop PC |
| Where | Anywhere within WiFi range | Seated at the unit |
| Pause time | Yes, on most machines | Usually no |
| Common use | Social media, classes, GCash, messaging | Games, printing, school work |
How to use a Piso WiFi vendo (customers)
- Connect to the vendo's WiFi. Pick the network name shown on the machine. Most have no password.
- Open the portal. Type http://10.0.0.1 in Chrome or Safari. Some machines use 10.10.0.1 instead.
- Tap Insert Coin. Drop your coins within the countdown. Your minutes appear on screen.
- Browse. The timer starts once your time is credited.
- Pause when you step away. Open 10.0.0.1 again and tap Pause Time. Tap Resume when you are back.
Full pausing steps for every phone are on our Piso WiFi pause time guide. You can also pay with a code; see Piso WiFi voucher.
Pause only saves time you already paid for. No trick or "pause time hack" gives free minutes.
10.0.0.1 Piso WiFi vendo pause on Windows
Laptops work too. Connect your Windows laptop to the vendo WiFi, open Edge or Chrome and type http://10.0.0.1. Turn off any VPN first. Your laptop needs its own paid session, since time is tied to each device.
Ang oras mo ay naka-save sa makina, hindi sa cellphone mo.
Parts of a Piso WiFi vendo
| Part | What it does | Owner tip |
|---|---|---|
| Coin acceptor (coin slot) | Reads coins and sends a pulse to the board | Calibrate it for ₱1, ₱5, ₱10 and ₱20 coins you accept |
| Hotspot board or router | Runs the portal, timer and pause feature | Often an Orange Pi, Raspberry Pi or MikroTik |
| Portal software | The page at 10.0.0.1, rates, vouchers, reports | LPB, AdoPiSoft, PisoFi or JuanFi are common |
| Access point and antenna | Broadcasts the WiFi to customers | Outdoor units reach farther; height matters |
| Internet source | Fiber, DSL, LTE modem or satellite | Your speed limit for all customers |
| Cabinet, power supply, timer display | Houses and powers everything | Add an AVR or UPS for brownouts |
How to start a Piso WiFi vendo business
A vendo is a small, low-staff business. It still needs planning. Here is the usual order.
- Check the spot. Look for foot traffic and people who stay a while. Boarding houses, schools, terminals and dense streets work well.
- Get an internet plan. Fiber is best where available. In remote areas, owners use LTE or Starlink for Piso WiFi. Read your plan's terms on reselling.
- Choose your software. Compare features, license cost and support (see table below).
- Buy or assemble the vendo. Ready-made units are easiest. DIY builds save money but need skill.
- Handle permits. Ask your barangay and city hall about a barangay clearance, business permit and BIR registration. Rules vary by LGU.
- Set rates and pause rules. Then test with your own phone before opening.
Choosing software
All four main options work. Pick the one your installer and local community support best.
| Software | Typical hardware | Known for |
|---|---|---|
| LPB Piso WiFi | Orange Pi or similar board | Very common, simple admin, built-in pause |
| AdoPiSoft | Orange Pi, Raspberry Pi, x86 | Many settings, add-ons and e-payment options |
| PisoFi | Dedicated hardware | Cloud dashboard for remote checking |
| JuanFi | MikroTik router plus ESP coin board | Flexible, good for larger setups, needs MikroTik skills |
This is an independent guide. We are not affiliated with LPB, AdoPiSoft, PisoFi, JuanFi or any vendo seller.
Startup costs (rough ranges)
Prices vary by seller, region and quality. Use these as a starting point only.
| Item | Rough range |
|---|---|
| Ready-made vendo unit with board and coin slot | ₱5,000 to ₱15,000 |
| Extra outdoor access point | ₱1,500 to ₱6,000 each |
| Software license | Free tier to a few thousand pesos, one-time or yearly |
| Internet plan (fiber) | ₱1,000 to ₱3,000 per month |
| Electricity | A few hundred pesos per month for a basic unit |
| Permits and registration | Varies by LGU |
Setting rates and enabling pause
Most owners start with ₱1 for 8 to 15 minutes, then add bigger bundles. A ₱20 or ₱50 bundle with bonus time rewards loyal users.
| Coin | Common range |
|---|---|
| ₱1 | 8 to 15 minutes |
| ₱5 | 45 minutes to 1.5 hours |
| ₱10 | 2 to 4 hours |
| ₱20 | 5 to 10 hours |
Pause time is usually a setting in the admin panel. It is often under a section for sessions or customer options, but menu names vary by version. You can usually limit how many times or how long a user may pause.
Turning pause on builds trust. Customers are more willing to buy bigger bundles when they know unused time is safe.
Add GCash or Maya payments to reach customers without coins. Most current software supports e-wallet add-ons.
Maintenance checklist
- Collect coins and clean the coin slot weekly. Dust and bent coins cause jams.
- Restart the unit on a schedule if it gets slow. See how to reset Piso WiFi.
- Back up settings before any update.
- Use an AVR or small UPS. Brownouts can corrupt the SD card.
- Change the admin password from the default. Never share it.
- Watch for complaints and check our Piso WiFi not working fixes.
How much can a Piso WiFi vendo earn?
Honest answer: it depends heavily on location. A quiet spot may earn a few hundred pesos a month. A busy one near a school or boarding house may earn several thousand.
Your profit is sales minus internet, power and repairs. Many owners report it takes several months to a year to recover the setup cost. Speed, uptime and fair rates matter as much as location.
Treat any seller's earnings claim with caution. Visit similar vendos nearby and ask owners before you buy.
