How to Reset Piso WiFi (Customer and Owner Steps)
Updated November 2026
To reset Piso WiFi as a customer, pause your time, then forget and rejoin the network on your phone. Owners should try a soft restart first, then a power cycle, and use a factory reset only as a last step.
Quick answer: Customers: tap Pause Time at 10.0.0.1, forget the WiFi, reconnect and tap Resume. Owners: restart from the admin panel, or unplug the vendo for 30 seconds. Back up settings before any factory reset, because it can erase rates, vouchers and sales data.
Which reset do you need?
"Reset" means different things. Pick the lightest fix that solves your problem.
| Reset type | Who does it | What it fixes | Data lost? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reconnect phone | Customer | Portal not loading, stuck connection | No |
| Forget network | Customer | Wrong saved settings, "obtaining IP address" | No, if you paused first |
| Soft restart | Owner | Slow vendo, frozen portal | No |
| Power cycle | Owner | Total freeze, no WiFi signal | Usually no; active sessions may drop |
| Factory reset | Owner | Forgotten admin password, broken settings | Yes, settings may be erased |
Customers should never press buttons on the vendo itself. Ask the owner if the machine seems broken.
How to reset Piso WiFi on your phone (customers)
You cannot reset the machine, but you can reset your own connection. This fixes most "connected but nothing loads" problems.
Step 1: Pause your time first
Open http://10.0.0.1 and tap Pause Time. This keeps your minutes safe while you reconnect. See our pause time guide if you can't find the button.
Step 2: Reconnect or forget the network
- Turn WiFi off and on. Wait 10 seconds before turning it back on.
- Still stuck? Forget the network. On Android, long-press the network name and tap Forget. On iPhone, tap the (i) and choose Forget This Network.
- Turn off mobile data. This helps the portal open.
- Rejoin the Piso WiFi. Tap the network name again.
- Open 10.0.0.1 and tap Resume. Your saved time continues.
Step 3: Restart your phone
If the portal still won't load, restart your phone. This clears stuck network settings. Then reconnect and open 10.0.0.1.
On iPhone, keep Private Wi-Fi Address the same for this network. If it changes after forgetting, the vendo may see you as a new device and not find your saved time.

Piso WiFi restart: owner steps
Start gentle. Most problems clear with a simple restart.
Soft restart from the admin panel
- Log in to your admin page. Use the address and password from your installer. See Piso WiFi login.
- Find the restart option. It is often called Reboot or Restart, under a system or settings menu. Names vary by version.
- Confirm and wait. Most units come back in 1 to 3 minutes.
- Test with your phone. Connect, open 10.0.0.1, and check coins are accepted.
Restart during quiet hours if you can. Paused sessions are usually kept, but active users may be dropped for a moment.
Power cycle (hard restart)
- Unplug the vendo. Also unplug your modem or router if internet is the problem.
- Wait 30 seconds. This lets the hardware fully discharge.
- Plug in the modem first. Wait until its internet light is steady.
- Plug in the vendo. Give it a few minutes to boot.
Pulling power too often can damage the SD card on Pi-based boards. Use the admin restart when the panel still responds.
Factory reset: read this first
A factory reset returns the machine to its original state. On many systems, it erases your rates, vouchers, pause rules, sales history and WiFi name.
Before you reset, back up
- Use the backup or export option in the admin panel if your software has one.
- Write down your rates, coin values and pause limits.
- Note your network name, admin address and license or activation key.
- Print or export unused vouchers. See Piso WiFi voucher.
How factory reset usually works
Methods depend on your system. Some have a reset option inside the admin panel. Others need a reset button held for several seconds, or reflashing the SD card with a fresh image. On MikroTik-based setups like JuanFi, a reset can also wipe the hotspot configuration.
Follow your software maker's guide for your exact version. If unsure, contact your installer or the support group for LPB, AdoPiSoft or your system.
After a reset, change the admin password right away. Never leave a default password on a public machine. Your license may need reactivation.
This is an independent guide, not affiliated with any vendo software maker.
Reset or troubleshoot?
A reset is not always the answer. Some problems come from the internet line, a full coin slot or a loose cable.
| Problem | Try first |
|---|---|
| Whole vendo has no internet | Check the modem lights and ISP before resetting the vendo |
| Coins not credited | Clean and check the coin acceptor wiring |
| Portal slow for everyone | Soft restart, then check bandwidth limits |
| One customer can't connect | Customer reconnect steps above |
| Forgot admin password | Contact installer; factory reset only if needed |
